“It’s not that bad.” “The pain decreases with time.” “Just think positively.” We’ve all been told that at one time or another. If we’re honest, sometimes it feels easier to just give up because let’s face it, life is hard.

Maybe you don’t have someone you feel comfortable talking about hard stuff with or you don’t want to burden someone with your problems. Maybe you’re a parent at a loss of how to help your teen. Maybe you’re a teen at a loss of how to deal with your parents. You could be having issues with relationships, drugs, body image, or life in general.

Let’s talk about why things are so hard. Why you’re doing the same old thing day in and day out despite wanting to change. Why you’re waking up and wishing that the pills you took the night before had actually worked. Why in spite of all the things you’ve done to try and recover from your eating disorder or addiction, you feel like you’ve made no progress. Let’s get down to the root of things and face them head on.

I have experience working in higher, more intense levels of care and have helped adults and teens deal with difficult stuff. I’ve met people in crisis and helped walk them into a better, more stable, and positive point in life.

Therapy is uncomfortable because change is uncomfortable. You can’t make change without being willing to talk about things that are hard, scary, make you angry, or even cry. You have to face your fears, talk about your struggles, and discover ways to cope with your stressors.

Your time is valuable and I wouldn’t dare waste it. If you’re ready to get to work, look at, and deal with those real issues, let’s talk. Life is hard. You can have the final say. And I would love to help.
